Additional Comments:
1. U-Value:The U-value parameter added to the object to specify thermal property of: external walls, façades, roofs, floors, slabs, relevant partitions and similar zone separation boundaries. The boundary to be treated as a composition of layers. U-value of materials to be incorporated in specification if relevant.

2. Geometry of certain elements such as waterproofing, paint or various types of coating, if not required by the LOD matrix, the information is to be included. In This type of situation the information to be attached to objects related with the information.
For example:
- The geometry of (A2020210) Foundation Damp proofing is not modeled, but the information regarding the Damp proofing have to be attached to the foundation geometry as required by the iLOD to allow for quantity take-off.
- (B1010910 / B1010920) Layer of fire proofing does not have to be modeled but has to be specified in the steel element parameters iLOD.
- The model originator to provide explanation of the process in the project specific BIM Execution Plan.
- If accessories are represented graphically in non-quantifiable form, the information describing the accessory have to be attached to the relevant elements (for example, as room data).
- Layers that have less than 5mm thickness do not have to be modeled as an element. Its thickness to be included in the overall dimension of the object.
- ( B1020500 / B1020600 / B1020800 ) for special items and those with material other than steel will not include fire proofing or other insulation information in Design stage BIM models.
3. According to DAEP EIR and International BIM standards as PAS1192-2, each element representation and design have to be represent the space allocation for the product’s access space for maintenance, installation and replacement space in addition to its operational space. Equipment’s clearances, operation maintenance pathways, relevant required kinetic envelopes critical to design to be
included in the modeled elements and models. for example (eLOD/iLOD):
- Grids, Levels, Setting out lines, Plots, etc.
- Volume and Space reservation. (e.g. Door Swings, Rooms, Fire compartments)
- Clearances for operation and maintenance (maintainable assets)
- Accessibility paths (critical paths only)
- Other elements for coordination (e.g. complex elements geometry set-out)
4. Layer of fire proofing does not have to be modeled but has to be specified in the steel element parameters iLOD. In case of fire protection casing, to follow interior finishes requirements.
5. Openings for cable trays and ducts to be modeled when penetrating through structural walls and when size of opening in a non-structural wall requires additional structural elements such as lintels beams, secondary steel… etc.
6. The model originator to describe in the project specific BEP the type of information and the method of providing the information to fulfil the requirements of iLOD matrix.

7. Kinetic envelopes for vehicles will be part of the the road/tunnel model and other critical interface areas will be modeled in critical locations such as GSE roads or tunnels in basement.

8. Uniformat II/Assembly Code (DAEP Specific) reference to be attached to model elements beginning from concept design stage to be utilized for Cost Planning development by the appointed CQS.

9. Technical specification to be linked or referenced to the model elements at Draft Final/Final Design Stage. The use of Keynote to identify Masterformat specification of each product from the construction assembly is to be used.

10. If an object i.e. ( NAVAIDS, Airfield Signaling and Control Equipment, Counterpoise Earthing, Cathodic Protection) is not part of a design consultants scope, the development of the BIM model is the responsibility of the appointed specialist contractor starting from the stage of appointment – design or construction. This point does not apply to Special Support Systems as C1040 or D6010100.

11. Special Support Systems to be considered:

• Special support systems elements to be modeled from PD stage as per design scope of works.
• Lintels
- Lintel area reservation to be modeled for coordination purposes in design stages, in later stages the lintels to be modeled as per eLOD definitions.
• Seismic bracing, from PD stage as per design scope of works.

12. Existing site, building elements and components described in F20 and G10 for Uniformat II Assembly code (DAEP Specific):
- Site infrastructures and installations that are existing and to be retained are to be modeled from PD Stage.
- Building services and installations that are existing and to be retained are to be modeled from PD Stage.
- Existing infrastructure and installations that fall within the project boundaries and affected zones to be modeled.

13. Miscelleneous details as well as hangers and supports, if not related to Special Support Systems, will not modeled in design stage BIM models.
14. No cable routing/wiring/sizing will be included for BMS system in Design Stage BIM models. Cable trays or conduits with sizes exceeding 100mm to be modeled.
15. For Graphical representation, value in table 1 is indicative only and will not supersede the drawing standard currently approved by DAEP.
16. Thermal Insulations for Pipes and Ducts will be modeled as per design scope where required and referred to as the standard element insulation, in BIM Models of Design Stage.
17. For composite elements such as Roofs, floors, walls, partitions, sub-elements will be added as layers to the element and material classification will follow DAEP master specifications, with the use of keynote to identify Masterformat specification of each product of the construction assembly.
18. In Construction stage, steel structures to be modeled for Pre-camber and Non-Pre-Camber
