LESSON PLAN

Lesson Theme: Food


Objectives:
 Improve students' speaking, listening, reading, and writing skills.
 Familiarize students with the IELTS test format.
 Provide practice opportunities and strategies for each section.

1. Introduction
 Welcome and Objectives: Briefly introduce the lesson objectives.
 Overview of IELTS: Explain the format and scoring of the IELTS exam.
 Introduction to Food Theme: Discuss why food is a common topic in IELTS and its
relevance.
 Present related vocabulary

2. Speaking Practice
 Warm-up Activity: Simple questions about favorite foods and eating habits to get
students talking.
 What is your favorite food?
 Do you prefer sweet or savory dishes?
 How often do you eat out?
 Part 1 Practice: Practice answering common Part 1 questions related to food.
 What is your favorite food?
 Do you prefer eating at home or eating out?
 What kind of food do you like to cook?
 Part 2 Practice: Practice a short speech on a given topic.
 Describe a memorable meal you had. You should say:
 Where you had the meal
 What you ate
 Who you were with
 Why it was memorable
 Part 3 Practice: Practice discussing abstract topics related to food.
 Examples:

 How important is it to maintain traditional food practices?

3. Listening

 Explain tips for Writing section
