📜 Rules & Regulations for the School Debate
1. If any person speaks without the permission of the speaker and
moderator, his/her team will be heavily demarked
2. Any kind of misbehaviour, shouting, or irrelevant
disturbance will lead to disqualification of the individual/team.
3. The decision of the judges and moderators will be final and
must be accepted without argument
4. The main language of the debate will be Hindi. A few English
terms or quotes may be used, but speeches should remain
primarily in Hindi.
5. Participants must speak clearly, confidently, and without slang.
6. Reading directly from prepared sheets is discouraged; small cue
cards may be used for reference.
7. Each team will first present their opening arguments. A rebuttal
round will follow, where teams can counter each other’s points
logically and respectfully.
8. Judges will score participants and teams based on:
Content & Clarity (knowledge, relevance, examples)
Language & Fluency (Hindi usage, pronunciation, confidence)
Discipline & Presentation (politeness, body language,
uniformity)
