SOSScholarship Opportunities for Seniors Roncalli High School May 24, 2012

GENERAL INFORMATION Congratulations and best wishes to the Class of 2012! NEW SCHOLARSHIPS Scholarship for Women: The National Foundation for Women Legislators and the National Rifle Association are co-sponsoring the annual academic scholarship contest for young women who are high school juniors. Seven winners will receive a $3,000 college scholarship award and will be invited to attend the NFWLs annual conference where they will have the opportunity to learn about public policy, receive leadership training, and network with lawmakers from across the country. Applicants must submit an essay entitle The Constitution and States Rights: How Federalism Impacts Women and Historically Underrepresented Populations. If you meet the criteria and are interested in being sponsored, please contact State Representative Cindy Noe at H87@IN.gov PREVIOUSLY ANNOUNCED SCHOLARSHIPSRead carefully as deadline dates are quickly approaching. 1. The Sigma Phi Epsilon fraternity at Indiana University in Bloomington offers the Balanced Man Scholarship. Eight one-year scholarships will be awarded to students and include: one $1000, one $500, and six $250 scholarships to senior men who will be attending Indiana University. You do not have to join this fraternity. Criteria for the scholarship includes: scholastic achievement, extracurricular activities, community service, and athletic involvement. Tylenol will offer ten $10,000 scholarships and 30 $5,000 scholarships as part of their Future Care Scholarship program. Applicants should be students planning to pursue a health care career and who have demonstrated leadership, community service, and strong academics. The dependents of disabled American veteran are eligible for a remission of fees and free tuition at state universities in Indiana.
