GAMEDAY NEWS AND NOTES

Self-Sabotage: After last nights 7-5 loss to the Illinois Lincolns,
Will County now has committed 36 errors this season. This has
allowed opposing teams to score 24 unearned runs this season,
the fourth highest amount in the Midwest Collegiate League.
Only first baseman Jake OBrien and outfielder Shaun McGraw
have yet to commit an error in the field amongst position players.
Still Swinging: Despite their inconsistencies in the win column,
the CrackerJacks are still producing at the plate. They lead the
league in runs, doubles, home runs, stolen bases, and batting
average. Even in their six losses, the Jacks are still averaging
seven and a half runs per game.
Rock Bottom: Rockford comes into tonight losing six in a row
and nine of their last ten. Foresters batters have struck out a
league high 121 times while their pitching staff is the second
worst in the MCL with a 5.79 ERA.
Three up, Three down: Matt Borens will receive his third start
tonight for the CrackerJacks. Borens leads the team in most
one, two, three innings with seven such innings over his 19.1 innings of work. Borens went eight innings in each of his first two
starts and will look to provide another solid outing tonight.
