slst and pull tight to tie off, leaving at least 2 feet of yarn at the end

Now all of the parts are made!

Fill each limb with as much

polyfil as you want, adding

more to make it harder, or

less to keep it soft.

Sew each limb onto the main

body with the string left

over from making them.

Adding details!

Lets start with the mouth!

Using a string of black yarn at least 3 ft long, put the needle in further

back then where the mouth will begin, and out the needle out where

the corner of the mouth is going to end. Bring all the way through to

the other side off the face and put the needle in where the mouth will

end, and pull out the needle one chain over to the inside of the mouth

on the top. Pull tight, leaving enough yarn at the end to tie a knot.

Put the needle in directly under the string in the gap 2 rows below

the row the needle originally came out of. Pull the needle back out on

the top again, one chain gap to the left of the first stitch.
Continue the same pattern all the way down the black line, making one stitch in each chain to

the left until you reach the end.

Next, to add the stitches around the body. Cut a workable length

of black yarn, at least 2 feet long. Put it in through the head and

pull the needle out directly at the top of the shoulder. Stitch

through once on the shoulder and pull through into the arm,

pulling tight as you go while still leaving enough yarn out at the

end to tie a knot.

Continue to stitch all the way around the body as directed in the pictures below. Repeat on

both sides.
At the end, put the needle in the top of the shoulder and pull it

through the inside back to where the beginning of the string is, in the

head. Tie a knot and tuck the ends back inside.

If you ran out of yarn halfway through sewing, no worries! No need to start over, just pull the

ned all the way out, and cut a new string of yarn. Insert the second string further back, and

have it come out of where the end of the first string came out, and continue stitching as

normal. At

the end, take the first string and put in in through the hole its coming out of, and pull it out of

the exit hole of the second string. Tie together then tuck the ends back inside.
Making the eyes!

Work with your dark blue yarn

Begin with a magic circle

Sc 8 times into the magic circle and pull tight

Pull through and tie off

Using the two strings left on the blue eye, tie it onto the right side of the dolls face and cut off

the excess string. Use black yarn to sew it on tighter in an “x” pattern, and tie it behind the eye,

tucking the excess yarn back into the doll.

For the second “eye” use a long piece of black yarn and sew a star onto the left side of the face.

Tie a knot and leave 1-2 inches of yarn left to hang. Unravel the yarn pieces.

Take 12, 6 inch long pieces of black yarn and tie them

at random on the top of the dolls head. Use more or

less to give the effect of more or less hair on the doll.

Unravel each of the threads of yarn so it appears

more “hair-like”
To make the “guts” of the doll, cut a 4 ft long piece of

white yarn and with your needle, sew it into the bottom

center of the torso and tie a knot.

Sew back into the doll, coming back out one chain away from

the knot

Pull the yarn through, but leave an inch tall loop

Continue the pattern of adding more loops up 4 inches, in a

slight diamond shape

If/when you run out of yarn, leave the end of the first strand out. With a new piece of white

yarn, insert it right next to the space that the first one ended. Tie the pieces together and cut

the ends approximately 1 inch long. Continue the loop pattern you have been until the end

When finished making the guts of the doll, make one final loop about 3 inches long, and leave

the end of the yarn out right next to it. Tie a tight knot with the loop and the end of the yarn,

and then cut them all to about 1 inch tall.

With a 5 ft long price of black yarn, you will begin to sew the

stitching around the guts. Put the needle in near the bottom center

of the torso, and have the needle come out right where the white

yarn begins.
Bring the black yarn down one row above the end, and sew horizontal lines across of it, starting

small near the very bottom of the line, and make it longer as you get closer to the white yarn.

Backstitch along the very edge of the white yarn, going

up along the left side of the stomach

Continue all the way to the top of the guts, and make a

line up 4 rows from the top of the white yarn

Just like you did for the bottom, sew 3 horizontal lines across

the black vertical line. Make them longer as you are closer to

the white yarn, and shorter as you get further away. After,

back stitch back down the right side of the yarn guts until the

white yarn is fully outlined.

Start to make more horizontal stitches around the outline, by

coming out a few spaces over from where the outline is

Insert it back behind the black yarn outline, and continue to

add different size stitches all around the outline

When finished adding the stitches, have the yarn come back

out where it began and tie a knot, tucking the ends back inside

the body.
At the end, add white and yellow highlights around the body in order to give it a more

distressed look. Below are some examples of where to stitch the yarn and what patterns to use.
