    University at Buffalo (UB) Professor Jim Holstun's Bibliography on the newly-created UB Shale Resources and Society Institute. The UB Shale Institute recently released a highly controversial study that has been analyzed by a watchdog group (Public Accountability Institute) and called seriously flawed and biased towards the gas industry, to which the authors have ties. The study was labeled "peer reviewed", a claim that was later retracted by the University. The authors did not disclose their funding sources, created the appearance of a conflict of interest. Questions about the UB Shale Institute study, its data as well as the authors' industry ties, have been covered in a recent report in The New York Times.
