PLU is all about building a sustainable community. Before you arrive, please consider: Do you really need a car? PLU has a walkscore of 80/100, plus they have a free bike co-op to rent or fix any kind of bike. During Orientation, the Garfield Book Company will be in Red Square to provide CFL light bulbs, energy saving smartstrips, reusable bags, water bottles and more! PLUs surPLUs store will be having a grand reopening on September 1st from 8 am - 4 pm. Its stocked full of furniture, school supplies and appliances. Make sure to enjoy PLUs Organic Community Garden, GREAN club, habitat restoration parties, and many more opportunities to get involved! Banking representatives will be present in the University Center on Thursday, September 1st to assist you in all your banking needs. Personal Computers are recommended to aid in your coursework.
