Process Description – Dehydration Unit (DHU)

• Purpose:
❑ To reduce the moisture content of the natural gas stream preventing ice formation at sub-0
temperatures by adsorption with re-generable molecular sieves.
❑ The specification is less than 1 ppm on leaving the dryers
Process Description – Mercury Removal Unit (MRU)

• Purpose:
❑ To remove mercury present in the feed gas to protect the aluminium MCHE against corrosion using
Sulphur impregnated Activated Carbon.
Dehydration and Mercury Removal Unit
Process Description – Liquefaction unit

• Purpose:
❑ To remove heavy hydrocarbon (C5+) from treated natural gas
❑ To liquefy the remaining natural gas using two refrigerants system:
• Mixed Component Refrigerant (MCR)
• Propane (C3)

Process Description – Fractionation Unit

• Purpose:
❑ To separate and purify the condensate by distillation
❑ To re-inject C3 and C4 into LNG stream or feed to LPG plant
Fractionation Unit
Process Description – Incinerator

• Purpose:
❑ To safely dispose sour gas (H2S, BTX-Benzene, Toluene, Xylene) that are released from Acid Gas
Removal Unit (AGRU).

OFF SITE FLARE

▪ Each flare stack is designed at 500 kg/s (1.8 x 106 kg/hr ) of gas
flow which is max relief valve capacity of one GMS1 train.

▪ Currently A-6331A is line up to receive waste gas from SC1 and

GMS1, whereas A-6331B to receive waste gas from SC2 and
GMS2.
