Waukesha County Technical College Richard T. Anderson Education Center 800 Main Street, Pewaukee Rebecca Scarberry is best known for turning personal hardship into sweet success. She lost her job and got divorced the same week in 2008. She turned to her passion and overcame lifes obstacles to successfully create Beckys Blissful Bakery under the most challenging circumstances. She started in her home kitchen and now sells her gourmet artisan caramels to some of the largest high-end retailers in the world.
Scarberry earned her bachelors degree from the University of Phoenix in 2008. She won the Pewaukee Chamber Entrepreneur of the Year Award and was also a recipient of a Forty Under 40 Award from The Business Journal Serving Greater Milwaukee. Her story has been highlighted in local and national publications including the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel, 30 West, Biz Times and IMBIBE, and she has been featured locally on The Morning Blend and Fox 6. She supports several local nonprofits, including the Waukesha Womens Center, Positively Pewaukee and the Milwaukee Wave of Hope. Scarberry is part of Something Special from Wisconsin, Wisconsinmade.com, Local First Milwaukee and the Waukesha Business Alliance. She is committed to working with local companies and has partnerships with Lakefront Brewery, Stone Creek Coffee, Clover Meadow Winery and Rishi Tea.
