A Quick History
-Born n brought up in slums in Madipakkam in Chennai -Fmily includes two sister, two younger brother & mother -His mother used to sold idlis on the payments of Chennai to support her family. She also used to work in TN govermenet school under mid day meal shceme at salary of 30 rs./month - In the evenings, she taught at the adult education programme of the Indian government. - He also used to sold Idils before going to school to support family - Sister also helped him to pay off his pay by way of pawning of Jewellery during his first semester of Bits Pilani - Later on he got the Indian Government Scholarship to pay basic fees

- First Entrepreneurial Activity :

He used to do book-binding work during the summer vacation to get money for his school fees. When he got plenty of work, he employed 20 other children and all of them did the work together. That was his first real job as an entrepreneur. Inspiration to be Entrepreneur -His primary source of his inspiration was his mother - During CAT preparation, he read that 30 % of Indis population doest not get regular two meal a day. - He read about Reliance employed 20,000-25,000people at that time, and Infosys, around 15,000.When a single entrepreneur like Ambaniemployed 25,000 people, he was supporting thefamily, of four or five, of each employee. So hewas taking care of 100,000 people indirectly. He felt he, too, should become an entrepreneur.

Food King Catering Services Pvt. Ltd. -He turned down the lucarative job offera coming his way. - He was the Mess secretary at IIMA . From here he got idea to stat catering services - It was a dream come true, when Infosys co-founder N R Narayana Murthy lit the traditional lamp and inaugurated Sarathbabu's enterprise. -He started his company with a capital of Rs100,000 on May 16 th2006 - He got his first order from IT firm in Ahemdabad and secod from IIM A -It undertakes Event Catering, IndustrialCatering and Institutional Catering -Providing services at BITS, Pilani, IIM,Ahmadabad, BITS, Goa, BITS Hyderabad and SRM, Chennai among others and has aturnover of Rs. 7 crore - Key Learning's - Urge to serve to Society - Follow your Dream and not money
