Introduction
The case revolves around the story of Indian Music industry and Piracy of Indian music. The case shows how T-series owned by Gulshan Kumar saw a loop hole in Indias antipiracy regulation . Gulshan Kumar started with cover version and he was also alleged with the Piracy of Indian music which was the main reason of conflict .

Facts and Figures


In early 1970s, Gulshan Kumar started music business. T-Series got subsidies and loans. Gulshan Kumar alleged for music Piracy. GCI and MIL were their competitors. Cover version created controversies Murder of Gulshan Kumar on August 12, 1997, suspects were Ramesh Taurani and Nadeem Saifi. Supreme Court rule against T-series for Hum Aapke Hain Kaun.

Suggestions
The price of the cassettes should have been lowered by reducing the distributors margin The customers should have been made aware about the consequences of purchasing the pirated cassettes. The producer of cover version should share profit with the copyright owner.
