The brave 26-year-old - who is mainly torso - plays football and golf, swims, and surfs, despite having no limbs. Nick has a small foot on his left hip which helps him balance and enables him to kick. He uses his one foot to type, write with a pen and pick things up between his toes.

I used to think that I needed my circumstance to change before I had any hope. I wanted to know that there was someone else out there in my position, to know that there is hope, that there is more than just the little box that I see in my life.

Why should we treat others with respect?

We deserve to be treated with honour because we all have emotions, a sense of morality and a soul.

We deserve to be treated with respect as we all have a sense of identity and are entitled to human rights.
