History
United States of America or simply America is a federal constitutional republic comprising fifty states and a federal district. Most of the country is located in central North America, consisting of 48 states and Washington, DC, the federal district of the capital. It is located between the Pacific and Atlantic Oceans, bordered by Canada to the north and Mexico to the south. The state of Alaska is in the northwest of the continent, bordered by Canada on the east and Russia to the west across the Bering Strait. The state of Hawaii is an archipelago in the Pacific. This Native American population was greatly reduced after contact with Europeans through disease and war. The United States was founded by thirteen colonies of the British Empire located along the Atlantic coast of the country. On July 4, 1776, was issued the Declaration of Independence, which proclaimed their right to selfdetermination and the creation of a cooperative union. The rebellious states defeated Britain in the American Revolutionary War, the first successful colonial war of the Contemporary Age. The Philadelphia Convention adopted the current United States Constitution on September 17, 1787, its ratification the following year became states part of a single republic with a strong central government.

Culture
The United States is a multicultural nation, home to a wide variety of ethnic groups, traditions and values. Apart from the already small Native American populations and native of Hawaii, nearly all Americans or their ancestors emigrated in the last five centuries. The culture in common by most Americans is the Western culture largely derived from the traditions of European immigrants with influences from many other sources, such as traditions brought by slaves from Africa. The more recent immigration from Asia and especially Latin America has added a cultural mix that has been described as both heterogeneous and homogenized, as immigrants and their descendants retain distinctive cultural.

Currency
The U.S. dollar is the currency issued by the United States, but used worldwide in both international reserves and in freedom of movement in some countries. Currently, your shipment is controlled by the U.S. Federal Reserve. The name comes from thaler dollar short for Joachimsthaler, a silver coin first minted in 1518.

Flag
The Flag of the United States consists of thirteen horizontal stripes, whose colors are red alternating with white. There is a blue rectangle in the upper left, with 50 small white stars. Each of these stars symbolizes a state of the country, and each of the horizontal stripes represents one of the old Thirteen Colonies. Red symbolizes strength and valor, white symbolizes purity and innocence and blue represents vigilance, perseverance and justice. The Flag of the United States is commonly called The Stars and Stripes or Old Glory.
