Objective

To get an overall idea of Comprehensive Village Development Co-operative Program (CVDP). To know the socio-economic condition of the people of the Khanpur (Pashcim para) To share the practical experience of society about the collective efforts. To give some recommendations for extension.

Background

The concept of CVDP is the brain-child of renowned rural development thinker Dr. Akhtar Hamid Khan. One Village One Society It was initiated by BARD in 1983. Following its success RDA was involved with this program under 4th five year plan in 1991.

Methodology

Data were collected both primary and secondary sources. The present study was conducted on the basis of the following methodologies: Focus Group Discussion (FGD) Case Study Participants observation

Limitation of the Study

Time constraints. Because of limited time (two hours) the collected data could not be further scrutinized and verified. Lack of proper presentation. Lack of awareness of the beneficiaries. Lack of sufficient information in some cases. Lack of participation of women in some cases.
