Practicing possessive apostrophes
Rewrite each sentence using a possessive noun with an
apostrophe.
Example: That is the house of David. (That is Davids
house.)

4. This is the house of Juan.
5. Please close the door of the car.
6. The flowers of the plant are red.
7. The website of the College is confusing.
8. I want to play the guitar of Ernesto.
9. Do you want to walk to the side of the river?
10. I want to ride in the car of Bobby.

Check your answers:

Apostrophes: Contractions
Rewrite each sentence using the appropriate contraction
with apostrophe:
1. I do not like vanilla ice cream.
2. I am going to the mall.
3. Who is the new student?
4. They are my best friends.
5. We are not waiting in the line.
6. She will be the class president.
7. He should not worry so much.
8. They will be here in fifteen minutes.
