Other news
Spices health and social care
programmes received recognition at the
Third Sector Care Awards, winning the
award for Contribution to Sector
Development.
The current programme in Chorley
continues to work with the groups and
organisations who were part of the
pioneering Uplift health and social care
project which started in Chorley in 2012.
The judges said Time Credits are
inspiring a mind-set change about the
contribution that service-users can or do
make, acting as a whole-systems
catalyst in shifting attitudes from a deficit
to an asset-based approach

Other activities Coffee Club for Tatton residents get on-board with the
I am campaign
The I am.. campaign was
launched by Spice in Neath
Port Talbot at a carers event
with NPT Carers Service.
The aim is to capture
something of that persons
identity that can be
overshadowed by societys
view of older people, or
something they want to
share that they sometimes
feel is unrecognised. This
could range from a miner or
a singer to a chatterbox to
lonely to ignored to a
grandparent to a husband.

Other activities launch of the Spice Time Credits evaluation report.

Fantastic results about the impact Time Credits are having across the
country! You can see the Chorley results on Chorley Councils website by
searching for Time Credits.

We appreciate this is a long update! So youll be glad to hear we are

going to move to a new method which will mean updates are much
shorter and much more frequent!
Please do share it with people you think would benefit from being part of
a group, starting a group or taking part in any one-off earning activities
