VOICE
Use Voice for demonstrating enthusiasm.
Pace by speeding up or slowing the rate at which you
present information or emphasise a point.
Volume by using louder and softer tones to create
interest and meaning.
Pitch by using your usual conversation tones to sound
natural.
Always speak one level (volume) higher than necessary
for the group size and be enthusiastic about it.

Speak to be clearly heard by the back row.

Avoid mumbling and volume drop at the end of


sentences.

10 Points on Answering
Questions
1.

Have a standard answer ready for typical questions

2.

Look directly at the person while the question is


being asked. When you answer direct your attention
to the audience
Keep answers brief to the point
Do not interrupt the questioner
Do not allow yourself to fall in dialogue with one person.
Offer to speak with that person after the session
If you do not know the answer, say' That is such a
good question. I am going to get back to you on that

Limit yourself to a few questions during the Q & A


period of your presentation

If you end on a negative question, take one more


question from the audience to finish on a positive note
9. Repeat each question so every one can hear it
before you give your answer. This also helps to make
sure you understand the question
10. Remember to make sure your facial expressions and
body language are positive when answering difficult
questions
