with partial inspirations from the genre Film Noir.
To establish who would produce our media product, it is
imperative to look at whom distributed our influenced

the world. Though, the only one to distribute this film in

The film Se7en was distributed in the United Kingdom
by a company named Entertainment Film Distributors.
They have distributed many films from the likes of My
Sisters keeper to the inbetweeners 2. Overall, they have
distributed a total of 257 films.
They are a national company, but they still continue to
be independent.
Se7en was most popular with the group aged 18-29
year olds and predominantly males as shown by the
IMDB Statistics

Vertigo Films
Vertigo Films are a UK Film and Distributor company set
up in 2002.
Since then, they have gone onto distributor films such
as Street dance, The football factory and Inception.
Vertigo films distribute media products to independent
cinemas.
Overall Vertigo films (UK) have distributed 55 films.
As you can see, the film street dance was most popular
with the group aged 18-29 year olds, which is who we
are targeting our production with

SO WHO WOULD DISTRIBUTE OUR

FILM?
I Believe that the company Vertigo Films would distribute our
film Tiempo for several reasons.
Vertigo films produce films for Independent cinemas, which is
where our film would be exhibited. Due to the use of bleak
locations, no dialogue and genre conventions our film would be
suitable for an independent cinema.
When looking at the audience rating, Vertigo films had the most
relevant ratings for our film- The demographics being for 18-29
year olds and mainly Females. Films distributed by Vertigo
(Street Dance) shows the rating being mainly from 18-29 year
olds and nearly an equal split between male and female.

How could digital technologies offer

new distribution opportunities?
Social Media is a new technology which is always
developing. It allows scope for films to be promoted
through the use of video, Facebook/ Twitter pages, Apps
etc.
Our target Audience is for 18-29 year olds, so social
media technology is a big part of their lives, making the
films more accessible to find out about.
Also, home entertainment such as Netflix or Love film is
a new developing technology which enables people to
watch films in the comfort of their own home. It is a
huge market to use as approximately 75 million people
are using it world wide.
