HISTORY OF BIKE

IN ANCIENT EGYPT RUDIMENTARY ARTIFACTS

IN 1817, THE GERMAN BARON KARL VON DRAIS SAUERBRONN CHRISTIAN


LUDWIG INVENTED THE FIRST TWO-WHEELED VEHICLE, WHICH HE CALLED
WALKING MACHINE (IN GERMAN, LAUFMASCHINE), FORERUNNER OF THE
BICYCLE AND MOTORCYCLE.

THE CONSTRUCTION OF THE


FIRST BICYCLE WITH PEDALS IS
ATTRIBUTED
TO
SCOTTISH
KIRKPATRICK MACMILLAN IN
1839.

THE INVENTION, WHICH WAS

LESMAHAGOW, WHO SPREAD
SO
WIDELY
THAT
WAS
CONSIDERED FOR FIFTY YEARS
THE
INVENTOR
OF
THE
BICICLETA.

The vehicle had no handlebar ; the


seat was a pad on the frame and
propelled and directed pushing his
feet against the floor. It is perhaps
the oldest bike in the world , or at
least the prototype of the first bike in
the world
In 1816 , a German nobleman , the
Baron von Drais Karl Mannheim
designed the first two-wheeled
vehicle steering device . This
machine, called draisiana , had a
handlebar that pivoted on the frame ,

ERNEST REALIZED THAT THE TWOWHEELED MACHINE WOULD BE STABLE


WHENEVER AT A RATE SUFFICIENT ;
SLOW LEARNING WAS EFFECTIVE .
MICHAUX IS RECOGNIZED AS THE
DIRECT PRECURSOR OF THE BICYCLE.
IN 1873 , JAMES STARLEY , AN ENGLISH
INVENTOR, PRODUCED THE FIRST
MACHINE WITH ALMOST ALL THE
FEATURES OF THE FAMOUS COMMON
BICYCLE OR HIGH WHEEL. THE FRONT
WHEEL OF THE MACHINE STARLEY WAS
THREE TIMES BIGGER THAN THE BACK .
