and the connected modules.
(in this case 1 x TBEN-L1-16DIP, followed by a TBIL-L1-16DXP)

Hier wurde das letzte Modul hinzugefgt.

The last module was added here.
Beachten Sie in diesem Bild,
Note, that the devices are still Not assigned !
dass die Gerte noch Nicht zugeordnet sind

TIA Portal

12

Allocate device name and IP-address

and change to the device view to General

Assign the PLC

by help of a doubleclick

At the correct port it is

possible to set the IP-address now

Still factory settings.

Well change them soon
(next pages)

TIA Portal

13

Allocate device name and IP-address

New subnet assigned

IP-address assigned

PROFINET name can be

assigned automatically

TIA Portal

14

Allocate device name and IP-address

The unused interface should be in a different

address-area and should also be not networked

TIA Portal

15

Allocate device name and IP-address

The PLC shows the interconnection by help of a green line now within the network view.
But this is not the topology view!

TIA Portal

16

Add subnet

By a click on Not assigned it is possible to allocate each device

to the PLC_1 subnet.

TIA Portal

17

Configure the switch

As ever:
Tag device within the network view and change by help of a doubleclick to the device view

Subnet assigned

IP-address assigned

PROFINET device name can be assigned automatically

TIA Portal

18

Configure the modules

The TBEN-L1-16DIP and 16DXP are configured in the same way

TBEN-L1-16DIP

TBEN-L1-16DXP

PROFINET device name has to be assigned manually.

They have to be interconnected to
the PLC later on, too.

TIA Portal

19

Assign device name

Tag device and change to

the context-menue

Use Assign device name

TIA Portal

20

Assign device name

A new graphic user interface will be open

where youre able to select and to allocate
further devices
The device filter
is quite useful

Assign name!

TIA Portal

21

Assign device name

Go on with the TBEN-.. modules

TIA Portal

22

Assign device name

Name, MAC-ID, etc..,

fit together
Just assign in a final step

TIA Portal

23

Assign device name

An error occured!
What is the reason ??

TIA Portal

24

Assign device name

For more details click on that icon:

TIA Portal

25

Assign device name

It shows, that the assignment

was not finished!

TIA Portal

26

Assign device name

Assignment of device name

is working fine now!

TIA Portal

27

Assign device name

Finally the last module (16DXP)

TIA Portal

28

Load configuration
Tag PLC and compile

TIA Portal

29

Load configuration

If a connection to this PLC was never

done before you have to take care
of Extended download to device now.
Just Start search

TIA Portal

30

Load configuration

PLC was found!

Compare offline/online status

Message window on the lower right shows status of progress

TIA Portal

37

Topology scan
Comparsion shows still some differences
between the interconnections:

TIA Portal

38

Topology scan

Normally it is sufficient to apply

TIA Portal

39

Topology scan

All interconnections are set

to apply now

TIA Portal

40

Topology scan

Synchronize these settings now

TIA Portal

41

Topology scan
Status is green!
No more differences!

TIA Portal
