What is Chickenpox?
Chickenpox is a disease caused by the
varicella-zoster virus (VZV).
Chickenpox illness usually lasts about 5
to7 days.

Sometimes even people who have
had chickenpox vaccines MAY get chickenpox

Classic symptom:
Rashes that later turns into water-filled blisters.
may first show up on the face, chest, and back then
spread to the rest of the body.

HOW?
The Virus spreads easily from people with chickenpox

to others who have never had the disease or been


vaccinated.

It spreads the disease from 1 to 2 days before the

victim get the rash until all their chickenpox blisters


have formed scabs (usually 5-7 days).

How to Prevent?
The best way to prevent chickenpox is to
get the chickenpox vaccine.
Stay far from people who got it (if
possible).
Wash hands / take a shower after
