A Little History
English lace makers breed miniature Bulldogs as lap dogs in
the early 19th century.

When the industrial revolution displaced some of these lace

makers to France the took some of the Miniature Bulldogs with
them.

The miniature bulldogs became really popular in France and the

name French Bulldog stuck with them.

Known issues of the breed

French Bulldogs have a hard time regulating temperatures so
they need to stay out of extreme temperatures. They need to
have water and shade.

Because of their miniature size French Bulldogs can suffer from

back and spinal injuries. They can not jump off of things like
couches and beds.

French Bulldogs have big bat ears that need to because

cleaned because they are known to have infections.

Bottom Line
The bottom line is that they are known to have issues and they
can be very expensive.

If they are taken well care of they can live a long life and the love
that they give back is worth more than any cost!
