Pre-production

Unit 4

Surveys in Media
Surveys in media are extremely effective because it is important
to understand the audiences preference.

Storyboard
A storyboard is a graphic organizer in the form of
illustrations or images displayed in sequence for the
purpose of pre-visualizing a motion picture, animation,
motion graphic or interactive media sequence.

Scripts
Scripts are used in the
media which helps the
actor what steps to take
and how to react in
every scene.

Location
Location in media is extremely important because it adds effect
in certain films. For example, if a film is based on a specific genre
like drama it is important to have the dramatic shot filmed on a
rainy night.

Photography
The photograph of the thumbnail or
the cover of a film needs to scream
out at the audience so when an
individual is deciding what to watch
the photograph stands out from all
the rest.

Call sheets
Call sheets are to inform viewers about the
film. These sheets have information about
the production name, scenes, cast,
production, camera, G & E, sound, and
category as seen in the picture.
