video was Say you do Sigala. Our original ideas for our music video were to create one for a pop song that appeals to a young demographic of target audience. We wanted our video to conform to Frederick Jamesons theory that music videos are random without meaning and have no narrative. We further developed our ideas and decided we wanted to include performance within our music video and film in just one location to make a narrative story clear to the target audience.
We finalized our ideas and
decided we wouldn't include shots of performance as it looked unprofessional. We also decided it would be more engaging to have a narrative and take shots in multiple locations in both urban and rural areas as the juxtaposition between the two opens up the target audience to a wider demographic. The lyrics of the song can also be closely linked to connotations of happiness and optimism.
