Currently, it can not be denied that where we


are, we will always find people who smoke. It
shows that smoking is one of the lifestyle of the
people of Indonesia. The high number of
smokers in Indonesia is also not because
Indonesia is the largest cigarette producer in the
world with approximately 3,800 cigarette factory.
No wonder that number of active smokers in
Indonesian to enter the top five.

Ironically, smokers in Indonesia is not only


among adults, but also children and adolescents.
Smoking among students has now become a
behavior that is very concern for the nation.
Increased smoking among students caused as a
result of the influence of the surrounding
environment.

Unconsciously now many parents who smoke in


front of their children so that their children imitate
it. Parents as smokers should not smoke in front
of their children because it can provide a greater
chance for their children to smoke.

Parents

are

expected

to

provide

an

explanation about smoking and what are


the dangers that can be caused by smoking
and should also monitor the environment of
the school and the neighborhood children's
playground.

Meanwhile, things that can be done by the


government

is

restricting

the

sale

of

cigarettes. Cigarettes are not supposed to


be sold freely in the market, such as small
shops. The government is also expected to
provide strict sanctions for the cigarette
seller who sells his wares to children who
are under age.
