j Õased on Double Wing Principles

j Uses a non-
non-symmetrical backfield.
j Does not use the classic quick motion.
j Uses an off set ÕÕ.
j Uses a deep ³I´ set TÕ for a more vertical
attack.
j Uses SAÕ blocking but GOD blocking
can be used.

j Use a word association system.

j FORMATION ± ÕALL CARRIER ±
ÕLOCKING ± SIDE
j Õear ± ÕÕ Trap - Left
j ÕLOCKING TAGS are added either in
front of the blocking call or at the end.
j QÕ Tags are added at the end.
j Pass Tags are added at the end.

SSTE and SST.
j OVER ÕULL
j Under ± tells the SSOT to move in between the
WSTE and WST.
j Split ± Puts two Split Ends 8 to 10 yards wide
in place of the Tight Ends.

j The base play in the power series.

j Must be able to run this play anywhere
on the field at any time.
j Must be able to adapt this play to what
the defense shows you.
j This is the base for our play action pass.

j Used against a tough 6 or 9 tech DE that

is inside of the WÕ.
j DE is slow playing or giving the ÕÕ a
problem on the kick out.
j Need to extend the play by one gap.
j WÕ makes a ³COMÕO´ call
automatically.

j Used against a tough PSLÕ that needs to

be doubled.
j PSLÕ that is crashing on the outside hip
of the PSTE.
j Need to compress the play by one gap.
j PSTE cannot have a inside threat to gap
or man on.

j Used against a tough DE (EMLOS) that

the ÕÕ can kick out but is not moving.
j Superior talent or ability.
j Is a double kick out.
j Lose fast block on the FORCE (CÕ).
j ÕSG can take the FORCE (CÕ)
j Good to use against teams that sit the
CÕ on the LOS outside of the DE.

j Log block by ÕÕ.

j Used against a DE (EMLOS) that is pinching or
sliding down the LOS or slow playing and
squatting on the LOS (reading).
j ÕÕ aligns behind the ÕST and one yard deep
to get additional depth and put him closer to
the outside shoulder.
j QÕ and ÕSG/ÕST pull under the LOG.

j Used against a defense that have

compressed in on the offense giving us
the edge.
j Has the WÕ reach block on the EMLOS.
j Has the ÕÕ log next man outside.
j All pullers go under the reach and log.

back side to play the super seal.
j Kick out EMLOS (DE).
j ÕSG kicks out, ÕST seals inside.
j ÕÕ jab steps to backside and then gets
hip to hip with ÕST and leads into hole
blocking outside in (FORCE).
j WÕ hits the first daylight he sees.

j Õackside trap play to WÕ.
j Moves play one gap inside.
j Used when the PSLÕ is not flowing hard
enough to the super seal.
j Used when an interior defensive lineman is
charging hard up field to penetrate.

j TÕ Cutback play.
j Works well against teams that are keying
the TÕ and/or overloading to strong side.
j ÕÕ leads into hole.
j PSTE hinges and seals off inside.
j PST hinges but if a threat is present on
his inside he SAÕ blocks.
j No pulling linemen to key off of.

j Use a modified slide protection. If

mimicking a run scheme pullers still pull
but seal off the LOS/kick out.
j Play side line rule: slide to QÕ bootleg,
half kick any threat outside/over, half
slide with no threat outside/over.
j QÕ boots for depth until he crosses the
WÕ s starting point.

j Slide (for passing series)

j Forces the defense to play run first.

j Added misdirection forces defenders to
read assignments and then play pass.
j Gives the passer more time to find the
receiver as the defense must slow to play
run. No ALL OUT ÕLITZ ON PASSER.

j WÕ PASS is the primary pass.
j Corner route ± adjust depth for age. 6 yards for
younger, 10 yards for intermediate, 15 yards for
high school.
j Single route with max protection and run action.
j Additional tags add a receiver.

j QÕ bootleg
j QÕ must gain depth until he crosses the WÕ s
starting point. (5 to 7 yards of depth).
j Once he crosses the WÕ s start point he must attack
the LOS so that the hips point up field.
j As soon as the TÕ crosses his face he has a
GREENLIGHT to throw the ball. Õall is up and he is
looking up field.
j If he feels pressure he tucks the ball and runs.
j If he has a LOW read and feels pressure that route
is HOT
