CLASSROOM EXPECTATIONS
Respect!

Participation!

Keep your workspace clean and clear of

distractions

Respect Your Classmates

Keep your hands, property, and comments

to yourself

Respect the Classroom

Respect Your Instructor

I dont ask to be your favorite person. I just

ask that you listen, follow instructions, and
try your best.

Participate in Discussions

All ideas are welcome! Science is about

new ideas, and everyone in this class
has the potential to change the world
WITH YOUR MIND!

Participate in Labs

This is required for Chemistry, not to

mention it is the BEST part of
Chemistry. Reading about reactions is
not half as fun as doing it yourself!

CLASSROOM EXPECTATIONS
Safety First!

Ask Questions!

Chemistry is not for the fashion

conscious. Have a shirt on hand for lab
days that can be stained without
causing tears

Dress For Success

If you dont know, theres a good chance someone else doesnt know
either.

I am not psychic

If you dont ask, I will assume you are a

secret expert on the subject and will treat
you as such until proven otherwise, such
as through quizzes and tests.

THAT IS NOT THE TIME FOR ME TO FIND

OUT YOU DO NOT KNOW SOMETHING!

Follow Instructions

Each lab will have specific instructions

and procedures in place that must be
followed for your and your classmates
safety

Emails are welcome for those who are shy

CLASSROOM EXPECTATIONS
Be Prepared!

I was a student, and I know that life

outside of the classroom exists. As your
instructor, I will give you ample time for
assignments. If there is a problem, let
me know ahead of time, not when
something is due.

Turn in assignments in a timely manner

You and You alone are responsible for your grade

I give you instruction and evaluate your

work. Minimal effort usually equals
minimal reward.
