Film Deconstruction 3
Film Deconstruction 3
This shot is effective as it uses a tracking shot which fixes on the bullet as it
is being shaped. The dark gritty environment suggests it takes place in a
factory and that they have been producing ammunition for a long time.
This shot is also effective due to the main title of the film being
shown across the bullet to stand out from the background. The
colour of the bullet is also golden and shiny which stands out from
the dark rusty background which tells the viewers they should be
focusing on it.
This mid shot is effective as it still positions the camera behind the
bullet to show its path. The credits to actors and staff are also being
played out as the bullet makes its way through the factory.
This close up shot of the officer opening the box is effective due
to it revealing the current destination and to show the facial
expressions of the interested man. The colour scheme remains
dark and gritty throughout these shots which gives off a gloomy
atmosphere and connotes that this is a dark and dingy place.
This shot is effective as it shows the bullet tumbling out of control as the
box is knocked over. This almost creates a sense of clumsiness as it feels
as if the viewer is on the bullet looking at its perspective. The colour
scheme has changed from the dark colours to a tropical setting which
suggests that this ammunition could be used by pirates.
This shot is effective as it shows ultimately what the bullet is used for
as it is being picked up and loaded into the gun. The fact that this bullet
is being loaded shows that it could take place in a war scenario and will
be used to shoot a target.
