A laser microphone is a surveillance device that

uses a laser beam to detect sound vibrations in a
distant object.
It can be used to eavesdrop with minimal chance of
exposure.

WORKING PRINCIPLE:
When a light beam is reflected from a vibrating surface/body it then contains
information about the vibrating frequency of that surface/body.
OR
We can say that the light beam after reflection gets modulated depending upon the
vibrating frequency of the surface/body.

INTEGRATION OF WORKING PRINCIPLE IN LASER MICROPHONE

Sound travels through air in form of compressions and rarefactions.
These compressions and rarefactions are nothing but air pressure which creates disturbances, on the
surface of materials it comes in contact with.
These disturbances can be read or captured using a light beam incident on the vibrating surface.
Or we can say the vibrating surface modulates the light reflected from it.
