Who We Are
The Coubots, AKA Team 8485, is a nonprofit robotics team made up of
freshmen and juniors from Cresskill High School. The juniors are experienced
with a well understanding of the competition and their roles. They are
expected in the beginning of the season to teach our new freshmen how
competitions work and how they could be an active member of the team.
Though we have had some issues cooperating and accommodating
everyones opinion, we have become a second family and now we work very
well together.

Our Goals
To create a functioning robot and for it to stay in good condition by the
end of the season
To educate our new freshmen how to build and program as a team
To educate our new freshmen the importance of community outreach
To raise over $500 in sponsorships
To create more fundraising events, such as our Family STEM Night, to get
others involved in the STEM community
To improve our leadership and collaborative skills so we can succeed as a
team

Our Robot

Our Game Plan

During automas, we shoot 2 balls in the first ten seconds. Then we go for
2 beacons. At the end of automas, we push the yoga ball and park in the
center vortex. During teleop, our main goal is to shoot 12 -18 balls into
the center vortex. Towards endgame, we will go for beacons and during
endgame, we will lift the yoga ball.

Community Outreach
Family STEM Night
Family STEM Night is an event that we, along with team 6983, have been
hosting for 4 years. There we host different activities, relating to STEM,
such as drive a robot and make your own slime. In addition to this, we
also give out raffle prizes and provide food for all our attendees.
Every year, we have some representatives from the team go to the
elementary schools in our town to give a presentation about STEM
and how its important to use it in everyday life
Our town also hosts an engineering week in one of the elementary
schools and some of the robotics team members go to participate
