INSPIRATION/INFLUENC
ES

The disappearance of Alice Creed.

Why we chose this film as an
inspiration?

This film was directed by J Blakeson and released 12 September 2009.

We chose this movie as inspiration because it has the same genre of our
production, which is crime thriller. Also it has the same storyline that
We have a girl who is assumed innocent, but evidently under estimated.
In this situation she was kidnapped by two ex-cons. This movie is our
inspiration because it uses a similar idea and genre of what our
production involves. We also used this movie as our inspiration because
its a unique thriller with a twist rather than a normal good guy defeats
the bad guy plot.
Synopsis

This movie is about two ex cons that hatch a plan to kidnap, a

girl from a rich family and demand money for her safe return.
They tie her up and have a good plan to keep her hostage,
however she escapes and things start to go down hill from
there with continuous plot twists down the storyline.
In this scene you can clearly see a close up of her
tied up quite aggressively at the mouth, with an
object. This can show the fact that they only see
her as a sexual object, because of the way they
degraded her by using this item to cover her
mouth. Her eye makeup is messy and shes crying
showing she is in severe distress.
This scene a medium shot, shows two men are clearly
being quite threatening towards her, the fact that she is
tied up on the bed shows her vulnerability towards the
more intimidating men with guns.
This scene shows depth of field and a close up of Alice
and her holding a gun, this shows her with some
dominance in the way she is holding the gun. However
on her face expression her eyes and tears shows her
vulnerability.
In this scene, a medium shot she looks as if shes trying
to shout, or escape however she appears to be tied up
and helpless, this whole scene portrays the stereotypical
damsel in distress that female roles play in crime
thrillers.
