FACTS ABOUT THE IROQUOIS

They were 5 tribes were allies and made a group called the
Iroquois
Had wars over territory
All Iroquois spoke the same language
WHERE THE IROQUOIS WE LOCATED AND
LIVED
Lived in what is now new York
Lived in what is called a longhouse, It provide shelter for then
during each season.
Longhouses were made out of wood and could hold between
30 to 60 people
Longhouses were key Iroquois in Iroquois culture

And used the St. Lawrence River to fish

A sport they played in their free time was lacrosse
The played this game to find the strongest warriors
Iroquois loved lacrosse passionately used the game as
entertainment and physical conditioning
Lacrosse was also used to worship the Gods
Still Iroquois lacrosse teams today
