claim is the mug

Hypothesis-If the mighty mug has enough
force, then it will tip over.

Problem- How does the surface effect the

amount of force it will take to knock over
the cup.

Safety procedures.
Put water in the mug.

Put mug on surface

Try to knock over mug

Try a different surface

Do step 1-2-3-4 over again.

IV & DV and Constants
Our Independent variable was the surface we placed the mug on.

Our dependent variable was how much force it takes to knock over the
mug.

Constants- amount of water used which was 400ml

We used the same mug

Our results show us that

the mugs stability stays
the same for most
surfaces.
Final claim

The claim is somewhat true the mug does stay up after

minor hits but if hit too hard it will fall over.
