HOLOGRAPHIC
PROJECTION
INTRODUCTION TO
HOLOGRAPHY
Holography is composed of the Greek
terms,holosforwhole viewand gram
for writing or drawing
Technical term for holography is wave
front reconstruction.
Image changes as the position and
orientation of the viewing system
changes.
Records phase of the object.
Record our three dimensional world on a two
dimensional recording medium.
Can be seen using naked eyes.
Demonstrates complete parallax and depth-
of-field.
Image floats in free space.
Can also be used to optically store, retrieve
and process information.
It is a technique that allows the light
scattered from an object to be recorded and
later reconstructed.
Preserve the 3-D information of a
holographed subject.
Glasses free 3D display.
Life like images.
Interactive display.
No need for protection screen.
HISTORY OF HOLOGRAPHY
Dennis Gabor- discovered the basic
technology of holography in 1947.
Optical holography did not really advance
until the development of the laser in 1960.
First practical optical holograms that
recorded 3D objects to be made in 1962.
Advanced notably since the 1980s owing
to low-cost solid-state lasers.
WORKING OF 3D HOLOGRAPHY
Latest and vary unique Hi Definition 3D
projection technoloy.
Projected at various Distant Locations.
Without wearing any kind of 3D glases.
Image is captured in 3 dimensional
Aspect with a special Hi Definition
Camer on a specially built stage.
COMPONENTS REQUIRED
Laser:
Usually helium-neon laser are used
Beam splitter:
Device that uses mirrirs and prisms to split laser
beam into two beams
-Object beam
-Reference beam
Mirrors:
Direct beams of light to the correct locations
Holographic film
-Can record light at a very high resolution
-Layer of light-sensitive compounds on a
transparent surface
APPLICATION OF 3D HOLOGRAPHIC
PROJECTION
Real world applications are endless
Live stage shows
Advertising
Gaming
Education
Entertainment
Training
Medical
Communication
Military and Space Application
CONCLUSION
Holohraphic Technology has endless
applications as far as the human mind
can change.
Will bcome a very integral part of human
societies and civiliztions in the future.
