OBJECTIVE
Today we are going to talk about rhyme scheme and how we can find out
the rhyme scheme a poem has
RHYME SCHEME
Rhyme scheme is the pattern that rhyming words take at the end of the
verses in a poem

The poem has to rhyme

You have to circle the last words of every verse

You have to label the rhyme scheme and have at least A, B, and C for your rhyme
scheme

Example A
I am taller B
They are younger A
C and holler
I dont like to hoot
I am an adult C
I do not like to insult B
It is easy for us to hunger
CLOSURE
Rhyme schemes are important when you are doing rhyming poetry
because poems like sonnets need to be a certain rhyme scheme
When you have a god rhyme scheme, it helps your poem flow beter and
make more sense
A sonnet is a one-stanza poem with fourteen lines with stressed and
unstressed syllables
