Journey Documentary by Joann Sierra and Efrain Hernandez Purpose
We created this documentary to show the
passion that many people have for music and how if affects ones everyday life In the documentary we interviewed 2 music majors at UTEP and asked about their experiences with music and how it affects them We also were able to get footage of these students playing their instruments Ethos
By providing Interviews of music majors we were
able to use their answers as knowledgeable and trustworthy, as they have more knowledge and experience with music than the average student. It allowed to audience to notice how much these students were passionate about music. Pathos
In the documentary, we provided video clips of a child in the
mothers womb, to show the affect that the mothers heartbeat had as a rhythm to a baby We also had footage of children playing to show the affect of childhood We added footage of people in music festivals, having fun to show how music brings people together The interviews provided answers full of heart and showed how Logos
In the documentary, we provided the
definition of music to provide what music actually means in a proper and true form, then we added our own interpretation to show that it means much more. In conclusion The documentary was intended to show why people have such a passionate love for music and how it affects their life. By showing the different times music is affected in ones life (Childhood, Escape, Living, and Together) we attempted to portray different scenarios where music is the most important to ones life.
