Electrical Engineering WHY DID CHOOSE THIS JOB? I chose electrical engineering because it fits how I think. I like using different types of technology. I also like coming up for machine designs. This is why I chose electrical engineering. WHAT DO THEY DO? They design new ways to use electricity. Also, they improve products. EDUCATION/TRAINING The necessary education is a bachelors degree. Instead I want to get my masters degree. CURRENT JOBS Currently, there are 315,900 electrical engineering jobs. HOW MUCH DOES THIS JOB PAY? Electrical engineers are paid up to $95,230 a year. TOP 10% EARNINGS The top 10 percent earn up to $151,990. BOTTOM 10% EARNINGS The bottom 10 percent earn less than $63,430. INJURIES AND ILLNESS Workers can be exposed to electric shock, electrocution, fires, and explosions. SUMMARY To prepare for my career, I will have to do a lot. I will have to learn to persevere. I will need to step my game up. I need to start being more serious. I also need to study more math. This is what I will need to do to prepare for my career.
