ANNOUNCED THROUGH HIS WORKS Muth MIRACLES -Jesus' miraculous acts are sometimes referred to as"signs," because they stand as proofof hisdivinity, physical manifestations of the presence of God among his people. -As evidence of who he was, Christ pointed to his own works. - "The works that I do in my Father's name, they bear witness to me" (Jn 10:25) -When Jesus told his disciples to preach and heal the sick in his name, he told them to announce that it was a sign that the Kingdom of God was near. JESUS' MISSION -Christshowed thatGod reigns over all, and thathe himself is the Son of God, sent by theFatherto establisha new order onEarth, by performing miracles -His miracles aid people to believe in him, to believe what he preaches about, and to allow his faith to be strengthened -Jesus' mission was mainly not about eliminating physical evils. His redemptive mission was focused on liberating humanity from its enslavement to the power of sin, which leads only to death -The greatest evil is manifested in the bondage of sin that prevents human freedom and draws us toward destruction CHRIST'S WORKS AND MISSIONS -We learn from the healing of the paralytic story that Christ has the power of God.
-The presence of God was with the people and at any point he could over throw the Devil.
-Christ's Passion, Death, Resurrection, and Ascension show God's
ultimate divinity and prove God has a kingdom and he's waiting for us to join him in eternal life.
