HOW MANY FLOORS ARE THERE?

The Empire State Building is on Fifth Avenue in New York City. The whole
building is about 1,453 ft. tall, and here are 103 floors. There are 6,500
windows and 73 elevators.
It takes under a minute to ride the elevator from the 1st floor
For 41 years the Empire State of New York was the tallest building in the
world, until in 1972 the World Trade Center with the Twin Towers was
inaugurated.
HOW TALL IS THE BUILDING

The whole building is about 1,453 ft. tall.


Was the tallest building in the world for over forty years, from its
completion in 1931 to 1972, the year in which the North Tower of the
World Trade Center was completed. Following the destruction of the World
Trade Center on September 11, 2001, the Empire State Building once
again became the tallest building in New York City and New York State
until it was again overtaken by a World Trade Center On April 30, 2012,
leaving the Empire State in second place.
HOW OLD IS IT?
THE WORK began the work of the Empire State Building on March 17,
1930. Located at the intersection of Fifth Avenue and 34th Street, the
Empire State Building rose in just 410 days. It would be the then President
of the United States, Herbert Hoover, who inaugurated New York's tallest
skyscraper on May 1, 1931, pushing a switch from the White House.
WHAT HAPPENS THERE?
The Empire State Building has 1,000 business offices, and 21,000
people work there. The building even has its own zip code! For some
holidays, they change the color of the lights at the top of the
building.
Each year, on February 14, Valentine's Day, 14 couples are chosen to
marry at the top of this mythical New York building.
