which,most of them were crafted in a handcrafted
manner.

Shows the transformation of the toy over time , from the pre-hispanic
pperiod to the decade of 1950.

You can see toys from different parts of the word,which reflect
customs,fashions and sociocultural parameters.
Set in a colonial house , a
couple of blocks from the
plaza de armas of trujillo ,
the museum was created by
the plastic artist gerado
chavez ,who after many
years of colleting toys
,whether acquired in their
multiple trips or received
from the hands of friends
and acquaintances. A good
day decided to give his
hometown the most precious
possessions.
The toy museum houses more than 130 peces
from different eras ,being one of theoldest a
kind of whistle of the viru culture, whith an
antiquity of 2300 years , ie,since the pre-
columbian period.
We can also find toys from the beginning of the century and
from different countries, the collection ranges from the classic
lead soldiers ,aligned in such a way that they represent a fierce
battle ,to electric trenchitos ,dolls of all kinds and tricycles that
date from 1920
