TYPICAL SCOPE OF WORK
The typical scope of work for SEC projects as following:
A- Simple Cycle Units
It is only Gas Turbine Generator (GTG) units with all related Balance of Plant (BOP).
Generally, the simple cycle plants we use E class GTG.

B- New CC Power Plants:

It is green field projects and the typical Gas Turbine class is F as minimum. The
HRSG is open type for plants operating on NG (Natural Gas) and Vertical type
for plants operating on oil with two or three pressure levels as general.

TYPICAL SCOPE OF WORK

C- Conversion Projects :
Converting the existing simple cycle plant to a combined cycle plant. The
conversion is done by adding the Heat Recovery Steam Generator (HRSG),
Steam Turbine (STG) and related equipment for example Air Cooled
Condenser (ACC) to the existing Gas Turbine (GTG).
The conversion configuration is variable from plant to other, and typically
3+3+1 or 4+4+1.
The conversion projects all are brown field projects.

D- Steam Power Plants

Currently SEC changed the design of the power boilers from Sub-critical to Super-
Critical boilers (>220 Bar & 540 Co), the typical configuration is 4 boilers with 4
STG.
Moreover, the ESP and the FGD becomes must as the used fuel is Heavy Fuel Oil
(HFO) with high Sulfur SOx content.
