Present continuous verbs
For most verbs, add ing to the base form of the verb.
Example: sleeping.
If
the base form of the verb ends with a vowel + a
consonant, double the final consonant and add ing.
Example: getting
Ifthe base form of the verb ends with a silent e, drop
the e and add ing
Example: having
