Low-grade intraepithelial neoplasia includes slight and moderate dysplasia
High-grade intraepithelial neoplasia
Necrotic debris (dirty necrosis) within the
lumina of adenocarnomatous glands
Malignant glands with pleomorphic lining epithelial cells and mitoses
Mucinous adenocarcinoma with signet
ring cells containing mucin vacuoles
Floating in extracellular mucin pool
Malignant colonic glands are irregular
in shape and size and do not resemble
normal colonic glands. The malignant
glands have invaded the muscular
layer of the colon.
