In-Vitro Fertilization

(outside the body) (union of a human egg & sperm)

What is IVF ?

IVF is an assisted reproductive technology (ART).

In this process a human egg is extracted and fertilized with
multiple sperms for a higher success rate.
Why Do We Need IVF

Many women have a damaged or blocked fallopian tube,

ovarian disorders or uterine disorders

These women have an option to conceive thanks to IVF

Men are also a victim of Infertility, there are many

genetic factors which affect the natural process
Are You the Perfect Candidate for IVF?

Men with severe male factor

infertility, who do not wish donor
sperm insemination.

Females, who have a harsh

environment for their eggs or a
low yield of eggs.
Collection of Sperm and Eggs

The sperm is collected from the male and the eggs are collected from
the female, this entire process is completed in less than an hour. After
their retrieval, ICSI or fertilization is performed
ICSI (Intracytoplasmic Sperm Injection)

This is an optional step,

if the semen fluid does
not contain sperm.

In ICSI, the sperm cell is

injected into the oocyte
using a high power
microscope.
Embryo Transfer

After checking for the fertility rate, if it is a success, we continue

with embryo transfer. In this process the surgeon places the fluid
containing the embryos in the uterine cavity. If unsuccessful, this
step is repeated.
