The Tundra: Survival

By: Nathan, Carson, Matt, and Jordan

The Tundra
• It is mostly all snow
• It is the harshest climate
• The winter on average is -34ºc that is -30º(F)
• In the summer the average weather 3-12ºc that
is 37-53º(F)
Location
• It is located in the North Pole so you would have a hard time finding it
around here.
Plants
• There are also plants that grow
there such as…
• Artic poppies
• Artic moss
• Bearberry bushes
• Elephant grass
• Diamond leaf willow
Animals
• There are a lot of deadly animals in the biome
like….

Snow
Every Day Experiences:

• You would see a lot of water and big mountains and glaciers.
• There also is a lot of snow as you know by now and you
would probably not like to live there.
• Why?
• Imagine you had to live in below twenty weather with feet of
snow every day. Plus you have a constant battle of staying
warm and predators.
• Well you don’t have to imagine anymore because survival is
staring for new cast members Jordan, Nathan, Carson, and
Matt.
Challenge:

• They will be sent of to this terrible tundra in the North Pole.

• They will be battling hypothermia and other dangerous thing in this biome
and we are going to see who can stay or who will freeze up and loose.
• Now they are going to be faced with shelter problems and we are giving
them some things to bring with them.
Shelter:

• Shelter is a big thing in this Biome and probably the most important in any
biome other than heat.
• The main spots with be caves in the mountains or the tall trees.
• Now they could also make igloos and live in there.
Tools they would take:

• Fire starter
• Tarp
• Sleeping bags
• Water filter
• Pot
• Machete
• Small shovel
Tools they would take:

• First aid kit

• Flashlight of solar battery
• Water proof matches
• Peanut butter
• Snares
• Whistle
Dangers:

• During this show there are many dangers in this such as bears.
• With the bears the plan is to have the whistle to scare it away or use the
machete to kill it then eat it.
• Since there is snow you can use the snow to keep it good for a longer period
of time.
Final Challenge:

• Not destroying the biome is a big part In this.

• Meaning not making animals go instinct or
killing endangers species or ruining trees.
• You will just have to wait to see what happens
next time on Survival.
