ELECTRICAL PLAN

WHAT IS AN ELECTRICAL
PLAN?
An electrical plan is
a visual representation of
the physical connections
and physical layout of an
electrical system or circuit.
It shows how the electrical
wires are interconnected
and can also show where
fixtures and components
may be connected to the
system.
WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE
BETWEEN ELECTRICAL PLAN
AND ELECTRICAL LAYOUT?
ELECTRICAL PLAN

Shows the
entire
electrical
connections
ELECTRICAL
LAYOUT

Shows only a single

electrical room or
panels within the
room.
MASTER ELECTRICIAN
-often work for local
governments or own
their own company
-responsible for wired
installations and
connections, as well as
specific reparations
ELECTRICAL ENGINEER
-typically work for an
engineering firm or
other company
-handle all the
equipment&ap
os;s, systems and units
that transfer, stock and
distribute the actual
electricity
GENERAL
NOTES/SPECIFICATION
