Stations of the year in Colombia

 The climate of Colombia is characterized by its


thermal uniformity throughout the year. However,
this does not prevent regional differences due to the
varied geography of the country. They can be found
from warm climates on the coast to cold climates on
the peaks of the Andes Mountains and the Sierra
Nevada de Santa Marta.
 The main climatic differences are marked by the altitude, since the
temperature descends by 6º C for each kilometer that rises with respect
to the level of the sea. The main climatic zones are:
 Caribbean coast. It has a tropical climate with concentrated rainfall
between May and November. As you head east, precipitation is
becoming smaller.

 Pacific Coast. Tropical climate very rainy. In fact, this region is
considered one of the wettest areas of the planet. Average annual
rainfall ranges from 3,000 to 6,000 mm.
 Andean region. In general, there are two humid seasons (April to June
and September to November) and two dry seasons (from December to
March and July and August) and a wide variation of temperatures as a
function of altitude.
 Climate of the Llanos. It is characterized by high
temperatures and two distinct seasons: one dry (from
December to March) and one humid (from April to
November).
