MAKING AN ORAL REPORT TO INFORM ABOUT THE WEATHER FORECAST

Imagine you are a weather forecast TV presenter and you need to prepare the weather report
for today. You are going to speak about the weather conditions in Colombia and you will have to
include the following information:

- Temperature C (celcius degrees), present maximum and minimum and temperature word
(hot, warm, cool, cold, freezing, etc).
- Differences in temperature in the North, South, East and West of the country.
- Weather conditions (sun, rain, snow, wind, fog) and obviously the type of weather (sunny,
cloudy, rainy, windy, foggy, etc.

Example

Weather reporter: Welcome to the weather forecast. Now, let’s see what the weather is
like today. In the north of the country it’s very windy and cold. There is a chance of some
rain too, so don’t leave home without your umbrella! The temperature is around 10º
centigrade. In the east it’s rainy all day today, I’m afraid. There may be a thunderstorm in
the afternoon. The temperature is a bit higher, at around 13º. In the west and middle of
the country the weather is dry, but cloudy. So, no rain for you, but it is quite windy and the
temperature is just 10º. The south of the country has the best weather today. It’s cloudy
most of the time but sunny this afternoon. The temperature is around 15º.

Colombia.
En la región caribe el tipo de clima es seco, con gran déficit de agua, y caluroso ,
Las temperaturas máximas superan siempre los 32 grados centígrados, mientras
las mínimas están por encima de los 24 grados centígrados, entonces es un
perfecto día soleado para disfrutar de sus hermosas playas.

En la región Pacifica El clima de la zona es húmedo, tiene altas temperaturas y

llueve constantemente durante todo el año. La temperatura máxima promedio
es 23 grados centígrados y la mínima es alrededor de 12 grados centígrados.
Probablemente el día se ponga nublado, si vas a salir te recomiendo usar suéter.

El clima de la región Andina de Colombia es templado y de montaña. Está

caracterizado por sus temperaturas bajas y pudiendo presentar distintos tipos de
clima. La temperatura máxima generalmente varía de 23 a 32 grados
centígrados y rara vez baja a menos de 21 grados centígrados. Podrían
presentarse lluvias en diferentes ciudades.

En la región Orinoquia el clima es cálido y tropical. La temperatura máxima

promedio diaria es menos de 29 ° grados centígrados y con una temperatura
mínima promedio de 20 ° grados centígrados. El día estará despejado.

La región de la Amazonía se caracteriza por tener un clima húmedo y cálido. Las
