simple and rich classes.
• Aspects of focus on learning, behavior and
views on duty and responsibility will-
definitely dependent on parents' aspirations,
• Communication skill
– Teacher only used the standard language when teaching so that
students will not become offended
– Teachers should also respect pupils, be fair to all, punitive
punishments should not be implemented because the teacher's
relationship with the pupils will spill out and eliminate the
students' interest in continuing learning.
• Clothing
– Books are judged by its cover. Teacher’s appearance will
determine their professionalism in the classroom. If the teacher
didn’t dress up properly, the students will not giving them full
respect.
Teaching Strategies
• The learning style of the students is different from
one another, so teacher cant only have one
teaching style only.
• Equity in education does not mean the same
delivery system is used for all students.
• Educational equality is more dependent on the
student's environment of living, family socio-
economic status and student learning styles. So
teachers need to study the socio-cultural
background of students so that teachers can
provide effective teaching activities according to the
students' ability.
An appropriate strategy is cooperative learning.
• Students can share their knowledge and
experience, learn together, help each other and
interact with one another.T
• Teachers can ask students to think about the
learning problems they encounter and the
activities they want to do together. Teachers
should always think of effective classroom
management methods.
Respect the student’s culture
• Sensitive issues relating to religion and race should
be avoided at all. Every trust and value should be
acceptable to every teacher. The planned learning
activities should lead to the involvement of all
students regardless of their race, cultural custom
and religious beliefs.
Use Bahasa Melayu as official language
• The use of standard language, the official
language of the Malay language, should be
used without the influence of dialect
language. This will give equal opportunity to
all students to participate in learning
activities.
Give equal opportunity to receive the same
education
• The school should provide the equal
opportunities and the same education regardless
of their culture and races. For example there
shouldn’t be the fixed quota for certain races,
the school should provide the scholarship to
those that are really qualified, not based on their
race.
Involved PTA
• Establish rapport with parents. Encourage them
to share about their cultures and experiences
with teachers.
• Let parents know that the teachers care about
their child, and suggest ways that they can help
their child succeed in school.
• Recruit parent volunteers. Explain the benefits
of their involvement and create a range of
volunteer opportunities.
Celebrate festival of different culture/religion
• This is to create an environment where a child
is comfortable in following the religious
doctrine of their choice.
• This is also to open up student’s mind about
other’s culture and to make them respect the
difference of other culture.
• The example of festival that can be celebrated
in school is Hari Raya, Chinese New Year,
Deepavali and many more.

Government Effort-Sekolah Wawasan
• Sekolah Wawasan is a primary school that
conceptualizes learning together in a single area
regardless of race or religion.
• Under this concept, two or three different
primary schools will be placed within the same
area.
• Each school will have its own building which can
be connected to each other using a link-way. This
concept is the effort to create a more loving
nation of Malaysia by uniting the school in a
uniform education system .

a) STANDARD CURRICULUM
In the classroom
• A wise approach should be used by not
distinguishing the student's social class.
• Students must be treated equally regardless of
whether they are from upper class or subordinate.
• Teachers should diversify their teaching methods
according to the level of students. This is
necessary to prevent students from getting bored
and subsequently resulting in difficult disciplinary
problems.
Outside the classroom
Provide the widest
opportunities to pupils to
engage in socio-cultural
activities according to
student choice based on
their interests and
